Ups der var lige denne fra FT.com også “Stopping a run", jf. link: http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/cd473ad8-62f1-11dc-b3ad-0000779fd2ac.html

“….Northern Rock and its shareholders cannot be allowed a happy ending. The Bank of England’s job is not to nurse the institution back to health, but to tide it over until it can be sold to a strong buyer, for whatever price it will now fetch.

British customers of Northern Rock need to work out what to do in the meantime. Borrowers have little to worry about. Depositors with more than the £35,000 that is wholly or partially protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme face more of a decision.

But the Bank of England has placed taxpayers’ money on the table to protect Northern Rock. Having come this far the Bank will find it hard to let Rock customers suffer."

Bemærk specielt bemærkningen PARTIALLY PROTECTED by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, hvad / hvem dækker det over?
Var det det der stod skrevet med småt?
